2023 Was our Biggest Wine & Sea Auction Yet!

Big thanks to all who attended our annual Wine & Sea Auction on Orcas Island last weekend! It was so wonderful to celebrate together on a beautiful Saturday afternoon—all in support of Salish Sea science and conservation! Huge thanks also to our amazing hosts, sponsors, board members and volunteers, it was our most successful auction ever!

2020 Wine & Sea Auction Cancelled

2020 Wine & Sea Auction Cancelled

As many of you may have already guessed, we have canceled the 2020 SeaDoc Society Wine & Sea Auction due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. This event was originally planned for July 11th on Orcas Island. This annual fundraiser is one of our favorite days of the year because it allows us to gather with you, our supporters, and celebrate our shared accomplishments and make investments in future ones. At this time, however, our collective health is most important, and we look forward to the time when we can come together again.

Donate wine to the SeaDoc auction

We've made it easy for you to purchase one or more bottles of wine (at a 20% discount) for donation to the SeaDoc Wine 'n' Sea auction. Here's how it works:

  2. Pick the wines you want to donate.
  3. Call Compass Wines in Anacortes to give them your order and payment. 360-293-6500

  5. We'll take care of the rest! The wines will be delivered directly to SeaDoc in time for the auction.

Wine and Sea Was the Event of the Summer (PHOTOS)

By Bob Friel

Local luminaries together with boldfaced names from the worlds of science, business, entertainment, education, politics, and even space exploration met beside the glittering waters of Orcas Island’s West Sound this July to show their support for the Salish Sea and SeaDoc’s work to preserve and protect it.

Now in its 9th year, the SeaDoc Wine and Sea Auction has become the Northwest’s must-do of the summer. This year, nearly 200 donors and volunteers gathered in a fabulous setting at Family Tides Farm to enjoy amazing seafood, live music, games, great conversation, and an ocean of superb wines. Under the big tent, the auction was fast, furious, and a lot of fun. By the time the dust settled and paddles were put away, we’d raised more funds than ever to continue our work!

SeaDoc couldn't conduct science that is helping to heal the sea we all love without the support of private investors. Thank you for making a difference.

Be sure not to miss Wine and Sea 2017! Put Saturday July 8, 2017 on your calendar now!
